The Support Sphere
Welcome—I’m Matthew, Your Neurodivergent Relational Peer Support Person!I offer a collaborative approach to personal peer-based support that builds on the active listening, acceptance, and unconditional positive regard traditional therapy strives for—paired with the transformative power of co-regulation. We were never meant to go through life's challenges alone. In the elusive space between independence and dependence, there is a balance found in interdependence that I hope to help foster.I aim to create a grounded environment where your nervous system can truly reset. Together, we can explore everything you bring to the table—the pain, the joy, and the realization that everything you seek is already within you.Whether you need a safe space to process, co-regulate, or explore non-traditional avenues of personal growth, I am here to hold space for your journey. My goal is to meet you just as you are and tailor our work to support you on your terms.
My Approach
Through personal experience I've found that true healing and growth happen when we are fully seen, heard, and accepted. My work as a Relational Space Holder was born out of a deep dedication to human connection.Clinical psychotherapy often leaves out a crucial element of human healing: reciprocal connection. Conventional therapy offers vital, indispensable mental health support, and the work I do is designed to complement—not replace—that essential care. This offers a grounded space for your nervous system to settle, helping you reconnect with your inner clarity while honoring and supporting any clinical work you may already be doing. As someone who deeply values the therapeutic field, I actively collaborate with and refer to a robust network of licensed therapists whenever traditional clinical support is needed.I don't approach this work as an expert with all the answers, but as a grounded companion who understands the courage it takes to navigate life's complexities. I believe you don't need fixing, nor do you need to be steered toward someone else's definition of wellness. Everything you seek—your resilience, your wisdom, and your peace—is already within you. My role is simply to hold a safe, authentic space to support you in finding that within yourself.Whether you are navigating a major life transition, feeling burnt out, or are simply seeking a supportive space to feel grounded, I am here to join you on that journey!

The Play Studio at The Support Sphere
The Science of Play
Playfulness in adulthood is not a luxury or a regression. It is a core evolutionary mechanism for cognitive, physical, and relational wellness.
Brain. Unstructured, silly activity stimulates dopamine and endorphin release. That preserves neuroplasticity and lets the brain test novel ideas without triggering a cortisol-driven stress response.
Body. Uninhibited behavior acts as a somatic circuit breaker. Spontaneous laughter and movement activate the vagal brake, shift the nervous system into parasympathetic recovery, and release stored musculoskeletal tension.
Relationship. Shared absurdity is a high-efficiency signal of psychological safety. It normalizes vulnerability, de-escalates conflict, and can synchronize heart rates.
Our Studio (in progress)
The Play Studio will incorporate a blend of traditional and novel play structures, plus interactive features — the kind of equipment people assume is only for children. That myth is the point. Play was never only for children.
Adults spend most of the day inside heavy responsibility and rigid roles. Permission to drop the everyday mask, release the stress the body has been carrying, and build real trust through a shared experience in the same room — not through another conversation about needing one.
